Bandtransport Europe offers belts for virtually every application in the tobacco industry, for primary as well as secondary processing. Our belts have been specially developed for this industry and meet the strict requirements set by FDA, USDA and 3A.
For the primary process, Bandtransport Europe offers 3, 5 and 7-ply natural rubber conveyor belts for the processing of tobacco. By application of the right combinations of fabrics, covers and profiles, these belts can be very broadly utilised in the entire primary process.
We also offer the right belts for secondary processing. Our halogen-free Fabplast® conveyor belts are non-toxic: Pyrolysis tests have shown that even at combustion at temperatures of above 800°C, no hazardous compounds or elements – such as chlorinated hydrocarbons, sulphur or fluorine – are formed. This is an absolute must in connection with the increasingly strict requirements in regard to tobacco processing.
Depending on the application, we offer various cover profiles and finishes. Thickness, selection of material, tear and breaking strength all depend on the application in the factory. As required, our Fabplast® material can be fitted with a profile. Our profiling machine can be utilised to emboss part of a full slab of conveyor belt material with a profile. Commonly used profiles in the tobacco industry are the saw tooth profile, the wave profile and the large nipple profile.
