In the production of bricks and tiles, conveyor belts have to be wear-resistant and low-stretch. In particular in regard to long conveyor belts, the force-elongation ratio is important to prevent running and tracking problems. The product range available from Bandtransport Europe includes various conveyor belt types suitable for the transport of bricks, tiles and related raw materials.
For the feeding and removal of raw materials, residues, waste, and rejected products, often conveyor belts are used that not only have a wear-resistant cover but are antistatic, have good chemical resistance or are flame-retardant in accordance with ISO 340. Often profiled conveyor belts are used for these applications or belts with flights, corrugated sidewalls or guide ropes. You will find all of these at Bandtransport Europe. Our profiling machine enables a high degree of flexibility in the embossing of profiles: we can emboss any desired current profile on flat belts.
These days, plastic conveyor belts are also used for the heavier applications, for which rubber belts used to be the standard. For such applications, Bandtransport Europe has developed a special conveyor belt with a chevron profile, which has the right force-elongation ratio for optimal performance. These conveyor belts can be quickly installed, are easy to clean and have a long service life, making them a better value for money than traditional rubber belts. Due to their light weight, lighter, more compact conveyors can be utilised.
Especially for these chevron belts, we have developed friction material that is applied as a lagging material on the drum and the drum motor. Due to its profile and special hardness, this material offers a superior grip, also under heavy loads.
