BTE supplies the right conveyor belts for use in forestry. Increasingly, the traditional rubber belts used for heavy-duty applications are being replaced by thermoplastic belts. Due to their composition and thermoplastic properties, these belts can be installed quickly and can be repaired easily should this be necessary. Many years of development of raw materials and processing possibilities have led to low-maintenance conveyor belts with a very long service life.
You will find the right belt for many applications in forestry. Where necessary, our belts are suitable for heavy loading. A hard cover with a high degree of wear-resistance offers good protection against sharp or hard edges, for instance of logs or branches, and has a long lifespan, also when conveying bark or chipped wood. Good force-elongation ratios ensure that the belt will continue to run well, even at low temperatures, high speeds, under heavy loads or impact of falling products. Even on long conveyors our belt material will continue to run well.
Especially for heavy-duty applications, such as those encountered in forestry, we have developed friction material for application as drum lagging material on drums and drum motors. Due to its profile and special hardness, this material offers a superior grip, also during heavy loading of the belt.
Conveyor belts that are, for instance, used in wood chippers must be hard wearing. In our product range you will find the right fabric-reinforced cleats, which upon request can additionally be fitted with an additional wear-resistant Hytrel cover. In this manner, you can increase the service life of your belt which not only entails a cost saving, but reduces downtime and therefore leads to increased productivity.
