Personal data we process

Bandtransport Europe B.V. processes data of clients who use our products and/or services, of individuals who register for our newsletter and of individuals who are employed by us. We only use the data that you provide us with and that is required for administration and correct processing of requests and delivery of orders.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

• First and last name
• Sex
• Date of birth
• Place of birth
• Address
• Phone number
• Email address
• Bank account number

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Bandtransport Europe B.V. processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data of yours:

• Data of people under the age of 16
  For individuals who are under the age of 16 and are working for us during a vacation job or are doing their practicum with us, we only collect the data that is legally required. Permission from the parent/guardian is required for people under the age of 16 to work at Bandtransport Europe B.V. Our website does not have the intention to collect data from website visitors that are under the age of 16. However, we cannot check if a visitor is over the age of 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent children’s data from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected the personal data of an underage person without that consent, please contact us at j.al@bandtransporteurope.nl, and we will remove this information.

• Citizen’s service number (BSN)
  We process the personal Citizen’s service number (BSN) of people who are employed by Bandtransport Europe to meet the legal requirements.

For what purpose and based on what rationale we process personal data

Bandtransport Europe B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Processing your payment
• Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
• To be able to phone or email you if this is necessary for us to be able to provide our services
• To inform you about changes in our services and products
• To deliver goods and services to you
• Bandtransport Europe B.V. also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data we need for our tax declaration and personal administration.

Automated decision-making

Bandtransport Europe B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing about things that may have (considerable) consequences for people. This concerns decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without involvement of a person (e.g. a Bandtransport Europe employee).

How long we save personal data

Bandtransport Europe B.V. saves your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to meet the purpose for which your data was collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:

Sharing personal data with third parties

Bandtransport Europe B.V. does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if absolutely required for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data to ensure the same level of protection and confidentiality of your data. Bandtransport Europe B.V. remains responsible for this processing.

Bandtransport Europe B.V. uses only technical, functional and analytical cookies that do not violate your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your computer, tablet or smartphone during your first visit to our website. The cookies we use are required for the technical operation of the website and for your convenience. They ensure that the website is working properly, and they remember, for example, your preferred settings. We can also use them to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to not store cookies. In addition, you can also remove all information that was saved previously through your browser settings.

Seeing, changing or removing data

You have the right to see, correct or remove your personal data. In addition, you also have the right to withdraw your permission for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Bandtransport Europe B.V.  and you are entitled to data transferability. This means that you may submit a request to us to send the personal data we have of yours to you or to an organisation provided by you, in a computer file.

You may send a request for perusal, correction, removal or data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent, or objection to the processing of your personal data to: j.al@bandtransporteurope.nl.

To ensure that the request for perusal was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID along with the request. Black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizens service number (BSN) on this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Bandtransport Europe B.V. would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisor, the Personal Data Authority.

Bandtransport Europe B.V. takes the protection of your personal data seriously and takes suitable measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, undesired publication and unauthorised changes.
